House Darling Point

Sydney, Australia

A design exercise in maximising space (all 48 sqm of it). Situated on top of two garages at the rear of a heritage-listed building, this proposal takes a quirky 2 room attic apartment (that is rhomboidal in shape), lifts up the roof and adds another floor beneath it; whilst keeping the character of the existing shape and form. New skylights bring in slots of light from above and deep into the plan.
